AI Storyboard Generator: Turn Your Story into a Long AI Video, Scene by Scene
Most AI video generators stop at a single clip of a few seconds. Proxima Storyboard builds a whole film: write a story, let the AI split it into panels, draw every scene with your own characters and then animate the panels one by one into a continuous movie. You review each result and shape the final edit as you go.
Because the film is assembled scene by scene, the method has no hard length ceiling — in theory it scales to films of up to half an hour.
Two Storyboard Modes: Panels and Sheet
- Panels mode — full control. Every scene is a separate panel with its own image prompt and video prompt. You generate, preview and regenerate each scene individually and approve the takes you like.
- Sheet mode — the fast way. The whole story is drawn as one storyboard sheet, and the Convert to Movie button turns it into a video in a few clicks, with less control over each shot.
How to Make a Longer AI Video with Proxima Storyboard
Here is a simple step-by-step guide for Panels mode. Create your film one scene at a time, review each result and shape the final edit as you go.
- Select the Panels storyboard mode.
- Choose between 4 and 16 panels. We plan to increase this limit in the future.
- Write your story in any language.
- Select 1–3 characters (see consistent characters). If you haven't created any characters yet, make them first in Character Asset Pack. You can also try a storyboard without character tags.
- Optionally, upload visual references such as locations, objects or other elements.
- Add a short description to each visual reference to explain what it represents.
- Go back to the top and click Enhance. The AI expands your story across the panels and writes image prompts for the scenes, including the relevant character and visual tags.
- Choose an image model at the bottom. Qwen 2.1 works especially well with multiple references, but you can also use Krea 2 and LoRAs.
- Review and edit the image prompt of each panel. Click Draw to generate panels one by one, or Compose to generate them all at once.
- Once the storyboard images are ready, the video settings appear at the bottom. Choose the resolution, LoRAs and other options.
- Switch to video mode with the video camera icon. For each panel, click the magic wand to generate the prompt for that video scene, then click Generate Video.
- After generation, preview the single scene and the full edit with all scenes generated so far. Approve the result or regenerate it.
- Repeat for each panel until your storyboard film is complete.
For the most control, review and refine each scene as you go. For speed, you can also build a storyboard in just a few clicks — with less control over the result.
Smart Prompts for Every Scene
The magic wand in every panel is a prompt enhancer: it takes all the available context — your story, the scene, the characters and references — and writes the video prompt for Minimax H3 for you. You can edit it, or just press Generate.
Pro Video Settings: LoRAs, Resolution, Takes
- Minimax H3 LoRAs — improve dynamics, image quality and camera movement right in the storyboard video settings.
- Up to 2K resolution — every scene is animated and joined with the previous one, so the film flows as one continuous take.
- Several takes per scene — regenerate a scene, compare the variations and keep the one you like best.
Who It Is For
- Short films and music videos — pre-visualize every shot and turn it straight into video.
- Social media series — tell a story across several clips with the same characters.
- Comics, picture books and pitches — get a consistent sequence of panels in one style.
- Ads and product stories — build a short narrative around a product or a mascot.
